Privacy Policy – Gerimo Notes

This privacy policy applies to the Gerimo Notes mobile application (package name: com.antozstudios.gerimonotes, hereby referred to as "Application") created by AntozStudios (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Commercial service. This service is provided "AS IS".

General Data Collection and Local Processing

The Application is designed as a local-first note-taking and digital whiteboard tool. It does not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information (PII) on servers owned or operated by the Service Provider.

The Application does not require user registration or account creation and maintains no central database of user profiles. All content created or managed within the Application—including your notes, drawings, canvas layers, pages, color palettes, custom presets, and settings—is stored exclusively on your local device. This data is not transmitted to the Service Provider and remains under your full control unless you explicitly export or share it using third-party applications or services (e.g., PDF, PNG, SVG, or .GERIMO file exports).

Camera, Photos, and Document Scanning

The Application provides optional features allowing you to capture photos or scan physical documents to import into your notes and whiteboard projects:

All scanned documents, captured photos, and imported media files are processed locally on your device or via standard system APIs. They are stored within the app's local project storage and are never uploaded to or accessible by the Service Provider.

In-App Purchases and Billing

The Application offers optional digital purchases (such as "Notes Pro" or "Remove Ads").

Device Information, Analytics, and System Updates

The Application itself does not embed independent third-party analytics or telemetry trackers. However, standard technical and aggregate information (such as installation counts, device model, operating system version, crash logs, and language/region) may be automatically gathered and made available to the Service Provider by app store platforms (e.g., Google Play Console) in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

Additionally, the Application uses standard Google Play libraries (such as Google Play In-App Updates and In-App Reviews) to facilitate seamless app updates and optional user ratings through the Google Play Store interface.

Advertising and Data Consent (Google AdMob & UMP)

This Application uses Google AdMob to serve advertisements. AdMob is an advertising platform operated by Google LLC. To present relevant ads, AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and process device and usage identifiers.

GDPR & EU User Consent (Google UMP)

For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom (UK), the Application uses the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to request your explicit consent before displaying personalized advertisements, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Google's EU User Consent Policy.

Third-Party Services

The Application integrates specific third-party SDKs provided by Google LLC:

Any interactions with these underlying services are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. The Service Provider does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties.

Communication

If you choose to contact the Service Provider directly (e.g., via email or through official community channels like Discord), any personal information provided (such as your email address or message content) will be used solely to answer your questions, handle bug reports, or provide support. Such correspondence is handled outside the Application.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because the Application does not transmit or store your personal data on external servers controlled by the Service Provider, there is no central user data to retain or delete.

All local project data, notes, and app settings remain stored on your device until you manually delete individual projects, clear the app data via Android device settings, or uninstall the Application.

Children's Privacy

The Application is intended for a general audience aged 13 and older (or 16 and older in jurisdictions requiring higher age limits for data consent without parental approval). The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

In compliance with Google Play Developer Policies, advertising content ratings are set to "Teen" (T) or appropriate family levels, with child-directed flags configured accordingly.

Security

The Service Provider is committed to protecting your privacy. Since all user-generated content remains locally on your device, its security is primarily maintained by Android's built-in sandbox security model. For any support communication received via email, reasonable organizational measures are taken to prevent unauthorized access.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect app updates or legal compliance requirements. Any revisions will be published with a revised "Effective Date". You are advised to review this Privacy Policy regularly.
